Plusmarkets Supports The Most Popular Global ETFs

What Are ETFs?

ETFs (Exchange Traded Funds) are traded on most of the world’s major stock exchanges like the Nasdaq or London Stock Exchange. The funds consist of collections of multiple instruments of the same class and offer investors a convenient way to diversify their portfolios and spread their risk without having to own the various instruments that make up the ETF. With some ETFs consisting of hundreds and even thousands of instruments, holding all of these individually would be next to impossible.

ETFs are broadly similar to mutual funds but there some significant differences. The critical difference is real-time pricing. While mutual funds can only be bought or sold at the end of any particular trading day, ETFs have real-time pricing from the exchanges and can be traded at any time of the day.

ETFs track the performance of baskets of multiple assets. Take stock ETFs, for example. While some of the stocks in the fund may perform poorly, under normal market conditions, it is improbable that all the stocks will go south. That doesn’t mean ETFs CFDs are risk-free, of course. As with any investment in CFDs, there is a risk of loss.

Types of ETFs

Plusmarkets Investors can choose from multiple types of Exchange Traded Funds including:
