Please confirm your eligibility

To qualify as a professional client and switch your account to Plusmarkets Pro you must satisfy a minimum of two from the following three criteria.

You have entered into transactions, of significant volume, on a relevant market of 10 per quarter over the previous four quarters.

The size of your financial instrument portfolio*, defined as including cash deposits and financial instruments, exceeds €500,000.

You work or have worked in the financial sector for at least one year in a professional position, which requires knowledge of the transactions or services in question.

*Financial instruments include shares, derivatives (only cash deposits made to fund/profits realized from investing in derivatives), debt instruments and cash deposits. It does not include property portfolios, direct commodity ownership or notional values of leveraged instruments.

Do professional clients lose any existing protections with Plusmarkets?

Professional clients do not benefit from the same degree of protection affording to the retail client. A non comprehensive list of the protections that you will lose as a Professional client includes, inter alia, the following:

Investor product intervention measures on the provision of Contracts for Differences ("CFDs")
Eligibility for the Investor's Compensation Fund
Description of the nature and risks of packaged investments
Best Execution policies
Our obligation to comply with relevant legislation relating to marketing communication
