We offer trading accounts for retail clients as well as clients who have requested classification as professional traders.
Potential Higher Trading Leverage
Professional clients are not limited to a specific leverage ratio. Although, higher leverage allows for increased trading without increased funding, it can also magnify losses so use with care.*
Service Early Access
We regularly release new trading products and add-ons. Pro accounts can have early access to these products.
Security Segregated Funds
Plusmarkets will hold and maintain an amount equal to your account’s value for each account you hold with us in a segregated bank account.
*While Pro clients have access to higher leverage, it is important to recognize the risks associated with this. Trading with higher leverage increases the risk of trading losses.

What are the key characteristics of the plusmarkets Pro Account?
All Plusmarkets accounts come with the same blend of instruments, trading platforms, and STP trade execution. Professional clients are not limited to a specific leverage ratio. Although, higher leverage allows for increased trading without increased funding, it can also magnify losses. Professional clients also have early access to our future product releases and a personal account manager. However, Professional clients do not have the same level of protection with retail clients.
What happens if I am not eligible for a Plusmarkets Pro account?
If you are not eligible for a Plusmarkets Pro account, you can still trade on a Standard account with us and get access to the same blend of trading platforms and products.
Do Pro clients lose any protections?
Professional clients are not entitled to the same degree of protection afforded to the retail client. For detailed information on the protection that you will lose as a Professional Client, please contact our Support team at [email protected]
Why will the leverage on CFDs for retail clients be limited?
ESMA (European Securities and Markets Authority) has classified CFDs as high risk, complex financial instruments, which may not be suitable for all retail clients. To limit the potential risk to traders, the ESMA regulations limit the maximum available leverage to between 1:30 and 1:2 on trading products.
Do I need to be an existing Plusmarkets client to apply for a Pro account?
Yes. The Plusmarkets Pro account is only available for existing clients. If you have an existing account with us you may apply for Plusmarkets Pro classification. New clients may open a Standard account and then apply for Pro classification.
